It not only gives us only good health, but it also changes the way we think and our worldview. so today, I bring you some facts about yoga that will completely alter your perspective on yoga. If you would like to know, please read the info below without skipping. That will change your life forever. But firstly, if you haven’t followed my blog page, please follow it, it will inspire me to bring you such good knowledge.

To begin with, the exact meaning of yoga……..

What is yoga?

Yoga is now”. That’s it. that’s all there is to know. Good night and thank you.

Okay, it’s far more than that. But the sentence, yoga is now, is the whole thing boiled down to three words.

The problem is that “now” is a pretty hard concept to put into practice in our daily lives. Have you ever tried to live in the moment, right here, right now, with no distractions and no other thoughts in your head? It’s difficult. That’s why an Indian person named Patanjali, living through the 2nd century, made it a guideline for yoga. Yoga means how you live your life in the current movement -is the first of his 196 sutras.

Patanjali, who is considered to be the founder of the philosophy of yoga, defines yoga as the ability to cease identification with the movements of the mind — in other words, to “ live in the now.” The literal translation of yoga is “ to yoke” or “union” or “to join”. Modern yogi translates this as the union of the mind and the body. That’s why a lot of us are thinking about yoga, we think about warrior poses or cobra poses, etc. large part of what we do in physical practice is meant to carry over into our mental states. But, the physical helps the mental and vice versa; therefore, one cannot exist without the other, and that is why we have yoga- or the union of two.

1)The best mind-body medicine

Yoga is a unique brain-body remedy and is among the most important treasures of the unique cultural heritage in India. Being both an art and science, it has much to give to humanity in terms of human mental comprehension along with all aspects of our multi-layered existence. Yoga treats personas as a conscious being on several levels, having three bodies (sthula, sukshma, and Karana sharira) and being wrapped up in a five-level existence (panch kosha).

Yogic lifestyle, yogic regime, yogic behaviors, and different yogic practices help people to grow stronger and to promote positive health, allowing them to resist stress more effectively. This yogic “Health Insurance” is obtained by normalization of stress perception, by optimizing the response, and by effectively releasing suppressed stress through several yogic practices. Yoga is the holistic and integrated science of life the physical, mental, emotional, of a person’s and community’s spiritual health.

2)A self-paced journey

yoga is an ongoing process. The problem is that something Is purpose-oriented is that people believe the goal is something to achieve at the end of the journey. But it’s the journey itself that matters. The whole yogic process is not what we learn and not the things we achieve. Yoga is a thing that you “live” till the last breath and even this last breath would have to be completed with consciousness. You should go with a sense of satisfaction that you did the best you could. Yoga is a journey and the objective of the journey itself. Yoga is about becoming aware of what your body can and cannot do. Yoga is nothing about how many amounts of yoga practices we do, and it’s not how often or how long we do it. It is about the way that how we live our lives according to the Dharma.

3)YOGA AND HEALTH

The yogic concept of health and illness allows us to comprehend that causes of physical disturbance arise from the upper levels of the mind and beyond. Such mental and physical disturbances are referred to as “Adhi” and “Vyadhi” in Sanskrit. Adhi- the mental disorders and Vyadhi- the disease that affects the physical body. Maharshi Patanjali states, “Vyadhi” is an obstacle to the full integration of one’s personality. He doesn’t talk directly about, the treatment of particular diseases as it takes a more holistic approach and extended instead of analytically and finitely. Patanjali refers to “Integration” instead of dealing only with individual symptoms of decay.

Through yoga life, such disturbances can be controlled before they become sufficiently strong to cause trouble.

4)Dealing with stress

Maharishi Patanjali says most of our problems come from the 5 psychological and physiological disorders (Panch Klesha) which are innate within each human being.

Ignorance (Avidya) usually begins with most issues with the ego (Asmita). Our feeling of needing to survive at any cost (Abhinivesha) makes it even worse. Both attraction (Raga) to outer objects and repulsion ( Dwesha) to them must be destroyed to achieve quietness as well as emotional and mental equanimity. Maharshi Patanjali Explains, Practicing Kriya Yoga (Mind purifying yoga) composed by Tapa (Disciplined exertion), Swadhyaya (Self-examination), and Ishvara Pranidhana (Submission to the divine will) is a way of destroying those 5 mental disorders and reach the state of samadhi or unity with the ultimate Self or the Divine.

Yoga can help us to adopt the right attitude towards the challenges and issues and thus deal with them effectively. “ having a desire (Iccha Shakti) to change (Kriya Shakti) that can be changed, the power to accept things that cannot be changed and wisdom (jnana Shakti) to know the difference is the attitude which requires for the enlightened. An attitude of letting go of problems, the issues, and better comprehension of the mental process helps to build harmony in one’s body.

5)produce positive health and well being

The founder of Kaivalyadhama, Swami kuvalayananda says, good health does not mean a simple lack of disease but it is a cheerful and vigorous way of lifestyle and the sense that this is the highest state of wellbeing at all levels- physically, psychologically, emotionally, socially and spiritually. He says, one of the goals of yoga is to encourage positive sanitation and health by the growth of internal natural powers of body and spirit. By doing so, yoga pays particular attention to a variety of elimination processes and reclaims the powers innate to accommodation and adjusting the body and brain. Hence, the development of positive powers of adaptation and adjustment, inherent in the inner human environment, allows her to enjoy good health and not just a simple absence of disease.

6)Modern medicine and yoga

Even though modern medicine does not share all of these concepts with yoga. It’s a matter of fact, there are a large number of “touchpoints” to build a healthy bridge among them. Modern medicine and yoga comprehending the need for overall health and the World Health Organization as well just added a new dimension to our modern healthcare understanding by integrating spiritual health as part of its definition of “state of health”. Spiritual health is a major component of Yoga and now that even the WHO has understood this perspective, there is a for the real unification of both approaches. Modern medicine serves the ultimate purpose to achieve optimum physical and mental conditions, ultimately it leads to the optimal wellbeing of the person. Yoga also targets, to achieve mental and physical wellbeing by a different methodology. At the same time, modern medicine has much to offer humankind in treating and managing severe diseases, injuries, and transmissible diseases, Yoga has a lot to offer in terms of prevention, promotion, and rehabilitation methods, in addition to numerous management methods to combat modern illnesses. As modern science looks outwards for the cause of bad things, the Yogi tries to find the depth of himself. This research in both directions can lead to numerous responses to the disturbances which ravage modern man.

7)Yoga and Social life

The science and art of Yoga guided man for thousands of years in his quest for the truth. Even in one’s private and corporate life, yoga provided him the tools and techniques to do that where he can find happiness, spiritual achievement, and societal harmony.

A comprehension of the Pancha Klesha (5 psychophysiological disorders) and their involvement in creating stressful situations and stress management helps us to learn more about ourselves and figure out how and why we’re doing it. The concept of Panch Kosha ( the existence at 5 levels of man such as clarified by the Taittaria Upanishad) helps us to figure out we don’t just have a physical existence and it also provides a glimpse into the role of the spirit in the causality of our physical problems together with psychosomatic disturbances. All those concepts help us to see life from a different angle (Yoga Drishti) and strive to move forward mindfully to be human beings.

8)Developing Essential Qualities of good human being

Nature is god, and everyone is god, you are the god and the god is you. Of course, we must pay attention that we are not going on a journey of ego through the incomprehension of this reality. The God or Divine is “that” which goes beyond the name and the shape yet appears to us by all the names and shapes that are close to us.

Patanjali states that the Divine or god is beyond the impurities of Klesha (suffering or grief) and Karmic fructifications. It also implicates in Yoga Darshan that “we” can become this Divinity itself when we get rid of impurities that prevent that kind of consciousness.
