Domestic gardening and older adults have a very close relationship with each other and the love of gardening is also found in most older adults. Gardening plays a vital role in helping to reduce stress. Also, in a self-made garden, the mind is quickly connected and we have an emotional connection with them. So let’s know about the physical and mental benefits of gardening.

1) Increases positivity

Many of us have negative thoughts when we are alone at home and this includes older adults but also among young people. Therefore, our efficiency is reduced, and due to loneliness, a person starts thinking negatively and death. At such times gardening plays a positive role in your life.
When we plant a tree with our hands and take care of that tree, we are emotionally attached to that plant. And some people even talk to the trees. So we see that people who have a habit of gardening look more enthusiastic and happy than others.

2) Helps to regulate serotonin levels

Serotonin is a chemical that boosts your mood, appetite, sleep, and ability to learn new things. This chemical is also called a good hormone. When your body’s ability to make serotonin is low, things like boredom, mood swings, and insomnia start to happen to you.
Doing soil works or gardening helps to improve your mood and keep you happy. This helps in controlling the level of serotonin in the body automatically.

3) Helps to get enough oxygen

Have you ever wondered what would happen to you if you run out of oxygen? Plants and oxygen are an integral part of a healthy environment. So when we do home gardening, we are getting more clean oxygen than others. And the healthier you are, the more your body stays healthy.

4) Trees inspire life

Many of us have no idea what to do when we are alone. If there is no work to do at home and the head is empty then negative and suicidal feelings start coming into our head and day by day we fall victim to depression. But do we think that even the tree is alone, does anyone talk to it? No matter what adversity befalls him, he faces it with a smile. He is still trying to survive, no matter how much he is attacked by the nature. Then why do we fear a small crisis and immediately start thinking of death?

Trees inspire us to get out of any crisis, no matter how many times we face it, no matter how many times we hit the tree , but if its trunk is alive, it will sprout new leaves, so you can take motivation from of it for yourself And also contributes to nature.

5) Helps to control high blood pressure

There is no rule that planning is always necessary to live a healthy and happy life. Even close to nature, many ailments are cured. This is also called nature therapy.
But not everyone can experience the presence of nature. So people who can't live close to nature should experience this by gardening at home. Gardening helps keep indoor air clean and improves respiration. Gardening keeps the mind happy and keeps us away from depression and anxiety. It helps in controlling blood pressure and improves your health.
